After their rather highly rated reincarnation as a four piece, fully realised band, Metronomy are poised to offer up a sexy slab of new music to coincide with a headline show at London’s forum this September.

This brand spanking new EP comprises of double a-siders – the equally resplendent Not Made For Love and Do The Right Thing. This is backed by What Do I Do Now? and an array of pretty splendid remixes courtesy of Leo Zero, Wild Geese, Silver Columns and more.

This precedes the release of ‘Nights Out – a Deluxe Edition’ on October 19. A re-packaged version of their second album, originally released in September ’08, will feature a bonus CD of all the favourite ‘Nights Out’ single remixes to date plus some of the best remixes by Metronomy, some brand new material and special collaborations. Copies to follow.

Still running things on the festival front, Joseph & co are whipping up a storm in tents all over the place, including Reading & Leeds at the end of the month and Bestival in September. See full live dates below.

Metronomy are back for 2009 with this perfect slice of pop pleasure taken from their fantastically received second album ‘Nights Out’.

Joseph Mount’s knack at penning and producing the honed Metronomy sound is perfectly illustrated in this track alone. Long –time crowd pleaser and ridiculously upbeat future smash, ‘Radio Ladio’’s time is now and reinforces why Metronomy rode the crest of the electronic-pop wave with such ease throughout 2008.

Vibing up the fans into an air-punching frenzy whilst chanting along to the R – A – D – I – OOOOO’s, this track has livened the party at every single Metronomy show from Camden to L.A over the last 12 months.

Having just completed hugely successful tours of Australia, Japan and the U.S (see Kanye’s blog), Joe and the boys are back and headlined the NME Awards show at KOKO on Feb 24 – ‘Nights Out’ was #6 in their albums of ’08.

Since the runaway success of their recent album ‘Nights Out’, Metronomy are back with their next single, ‘A Thing For Me’ and a full UK tour.

Underpinned by perfectly arranged guitar chords, drum machines and general electric trickery, Metronomy turn out an ‘80’s inspired disco take on the modern love song.

After a summer of festivals (NB their nomination for Best Festival Dance Act at this years UK Festival Awards), Metronomy are poised to head out on their forthcoming UK tour.
