The latest release from Innercity Pirates is the brilliant three and a half minute indie-punk track `Seen It All Before’.. The song highlights the band’s ability to create an intriguing marriage of catchy melodies and a fuck you attitude possessed by those angry young things with something to scream about.

The twangy guitars in the verses take on the frenetic shouty choruses in a sublime contrast, while front man Russell Toomey’s raw and raspy vocals drive the track fiercely and fearlessly throughout the three and a half minute maelstrom.

Russell is no stranger to the industry. A few years ago he wrote 13 love songs that he spat out in a visceral punk snarl under the guise of My Red Cell and were released through the now defunct V2 label.

`Seen It All Before’ is taken from the band’s forthcoming debut album `Cutting Noses, Chasing Tales’ produced by Pedro Ferreira (The Darkness) and due for release this autumn. The fizzing energy and bristling sound on this track, and indeed the whole album is reminiscent of early offerings from Hot Hot Heat and The Strokes.
