So if you’ve been living under a rock and have no idea what all this N.A.S.A nonsense is about then allow me to explain: N.A.S.A. stands for North America South America and is the brainchild of SQUEAK E. CLEAN AND DJ ZEGON.

A passion and appreciation for the music are the primary driving forces behind N.A.S.A. and the project has stemmed from a crazy idea and a wish list of collaborators on a white board to an amalgamation of phenomenal talents. From this an album of immense proportions has been created featuring some of the most renowned artists of the current day from the likes of Santogold, Kanye West, Kool Keith, Tom Waits, George Clinton, KRS One, David Byrne, Karen O right through to ODB

This isn’t just any ordinary album release though and this isn’t just any ordinary project……. N.A.S.A. is coming and you have been warned

N.A.S.A. - ”Money” (feat. David Byrne, Chuck D, Ras Congo, Seu Jorge, & Z-Trip)

N.A.S.A. - ”Hip Hop” (feat. KRS-One, Fatlip, & Slim Kid Tre)

N.A.S.A. (North America/South America), and their worldwide debut The Spirit of Apollo is set to be released on Anti- on February 16. 2009. N.A.S.A. is an ongoing creative collaboration between two lifelong music aficionados, Squeak E. Clean ad DJ Zegon, and their friends, friends of friends and musical heroes.

While N.A.S.A. stands for North America/South America and contains a number of superstar artists from both coasts of the US, it is about as far from a tension-building geographical showdown as a record can get. Rather, The Spirit of Apollo was born with the righteous goal of bringing people together through music and art, and that is exactly what masterminds Squeak E, Clean and DJ Zegon have done.
