HUSKY RESCUE – NEW ALBUM ‘SHIP OF LIGHT’

The Finnish band’s third album on Catskills Records, “Ship of Light”, will be released February 1st 2010.
Opening up a new chapter, some could say a transitional period in the Husky Rescue saga, “Ship of Light” is a strikingly fresh take on the bands charming pop and more intense in its ambience. Opener ‘First Call’ was recorded in the middle of the forest on a dark autumn night using wooden flakes on a string, an instrument traditionally used to ward off evil spirits, whereas single ‘ We Shall Burn Bright’ is sonically rich and haunting and the listener travels to the forests and beautifully empty landscapes of Finland.
This album is the reminder of Spring ,the sign of the first Daffodil and the lighter evenings, a transition into a new chapter. Listen and swoon…
